    Wow!!! Perfection

    I purchased this in the jewel collection, because I had made a purchase for 5 other fragrances. I’ve had the sample set of 5 fragrances for 3 days and have tried 2 others so far, I really liked emerald 13 so far, but Ruby 34 has blown it away. Someone said it smells like Chanel No.5 mixed with white linen and they’re so correct. My absolute favorites from Oakcha are Athena, which has me in a chokehold, Madame rose and sorcery! I also ordered Dream fuel and love in Rome, which are new to me. I’ll have to see how I feel after a few uses.

    OMG! Amazing.

    I ordered the discovery set and the two I really love is Emerald 13 and Ruby 34. Emerald is soft and sweet - not too musky. It’s perfect. I’m going to order the full bottle. I put a drop on and I can smell. Now I will have to come back later once the day has passed, but I’m in love.

    I am reviewing Ruby 34 from my experience with the Jewel Collection Sample Set. Ruby 34 is not a dead ringer fragrance for all. Taking a look at reviews for the original fragrance this is duplicating (Chanel No 5 Grand Extrait), the audience is split. If you like powdery, classic feminine frags, this will be up your alley. My experience is mixed.

    At first application, my thought was it smells like dirty diapers. After checking out Chanel's lineup of fragrance notes on Fragrantica, I noticed Civet was listed... Aha! There is a slight animalic, fecal element to this fragrance. The civet fades a bit on the drydown, but lingers on the skin only when up close. After wearing this on my skin for a while, I noticed the impression moved from baby scent masking products to smelling more like cosmetic products (lipstick, compacts, etc). I was surprised by the memories of women from my childhood that popped up. At this stage it is pleasant!

    I'm giving this fragrance 4 stars because I appreciate what it accomplishes. One star down just for personal preference.
