Forever Young

Forever Young opens EXTREMELY sweet from the cotton candy, all the various fruit notes, the citrus from the orange, and sweet Jasmine & Bergamot floral notes. A strong honey note follows, along with more floral notes. There’s a sharp spicy note that I had to research because it kind of threw me off, and I figured out it’s the Caraway. I realize I’m not much of a fan of Caraway, and it made me reach for this parfum less. The warm and slightly spicy nutmeg note also pairs up with the Caraway, but luckily, I like nutmeg. However, every time I try to wear this parfum, that caraway is so sharp, it cuts through all of the sweet florals and fruits as if to say “I’m here, can you smell me?!” YES! But take several seats because you’re too loud! As it dries down, I smell the sweet patchouli, vanilla, tonka bean, and caramel, then it all rounds out with the amber, musk, and sandlewood. I don’t really get the chocolate note, but maybe that’s why Daniel René suggests layering it with Choco Break, to maybe liven up the chocolate note for all the chocolate gourmand lovers. I haven’t tried that, nor have I purchased Choco Break, however, when I do add it to my Oakcha collection, I’ll try it and see how that affects my olfactory system. This parfum is a wonderful floral, fruity, gourmand-ish choice, BUT, that caraway remains sharp and alive, and I can’t seem to be able to get past it or mask it with layering. ITS IN THERE!
